What exactly is the Stock Market? It's an organized process where any individual and also every person could sometimes invest in as well as offer their own stocks or maybe gives you

Imagine, it is Christmas morning and your grandmother has just given you the best gift any grandmother can give: money! You begin to count the money and realize that she has really spoiled you this year. She gave you four hundred dollars. Now you begin to think of all of the things that you could buy with that money: music, concert tickets, gas, food, some new kicks; every possibility passes through your head. Hold on one second though, what if I told you that if you play your cards right you could turn that four hundred dollars into a thousand dollars in only about a year? Interested yet? What if I told you that the four hundred dollars that you hold in your hands could potentially be the start of a new life? If I caught your attention then maybe you should consider investing your money in the stock market. If I did not catch your attention then go waste your money on what ever you want.

I have teamed up with my cousin, Andy Fecik, to inform new investors, like yourself, on when it is the best time to invest in the stock market and how you can tell if an investment is right for you. Andy is a very knowledgeable business man who has over fifty years of experience investing in the stock market. Along with his personal investments, Andy is also the leader of multiple large investment clubs/funds.

Many beginning investors, especially young ones, tend to believe everything they read. For example, although The Motley Fool is a very reliable resource for investors, a recent article that I have read from the website was very, very misleading. An article written by Bill Barker stated that the Autumn months are the best times to invest because historical statistics have proven that people who invest during the fall months usually find themselves gaining larger returns on their investments than those who invest in the spring months. Barker uses a multitude of companies and their historical information to prove his theory . However, who knows whether or not Barker picked his companies based on whether they supported his theorem or not? No one does.

In a recent phone interview, Andy stated that there is a lot of lore, or what he described as the witchcraft of the stock market, that can distort the truth of the market. This so-called lore tends to build up and become the general opinions of the market. For instance, say that Microsoft's historical background did correctly match up to his theory because investors gained greater returns in the summer months not the fall months. Barker would have probably thrown out that company. This is the issue with all tips about the stock market. People can rig their information to prove their theorem; this happens a lot. Another example of this is the saying that goes "sell in May and go away" which means to sell your stocks in May and hold your money for a few months. Well, what if the market is low in May? Are you still going to sell and possibly lose profit because of an old saying? Andy has told me a multitude of times that what new investors need to learn is that there is no specific time to invest in the market. However, the market is personalized by the specific investor. As Fecik has explained to me in the past, an intelligent investor will say that any day that a stock is at the desired price is the right day to invest. In evaluating the best time to invest, I have found that there are no specific months or seasons that are better than others, It depends significantly on the particular investment itself. In example, say you want to invest in Apple, and it has been trading at $117.75. You have $1000 set aside, and you have stated that if Apple goes down to a hundred dollars or less a share you will invest all of your $1000. When that day comes, it will be the right day to invest. No one can legitimately tell someone that one specific month is better than another when it comes to investing.

We can dig deeper into the question of when to invest by learning how to evaluate a potential investment opportunity. The most important thing that young investors need to learn about investing is that they must be interested in the company/product in which they plan to invest. This can make investing much more fun and interesting. You will actually enjoy researching the company's history and digging deeper into the future outlook of the company.

According to Andy, there are many factors that can be weighed when looking at potential investment opportunities. Outside of being interested in your investment, an investor should look for companies that are reliable. Reliability can be judged by the age of the company, the competitors of the company, the chairman's letter to the stock holder's, whether or not that company is a monopoly, and the future outlook of the company. The age of the company matters because if a company has been around for a long time and has not had too many price drops, then you know that this company should be around for many more years to come. When researching a company, a potential investor should compare and contrast the competitor companies to his/her potential investment. It is also very important to read the chairman's annual letter to the stock holders to see what kind of organization the company has. A rule of thumb is that if you can not understand the Chairman's letter, then you should immediately scrap the investment. Another factor that should be weighed is whether the company is a monopoly or not. If so then this investment is probably pretty good because no other company can do what your company does. For example, Google, Inc. is currently a monopoly of the stock market. No other company can do what Google does or its stock would not be over seven hundred dollars per share. The final factor that must be weighed is the future outlook of the company. If a company has a lot of good ideas that may lead to an increase in its earnings, then it is a good investment.

New investors also need to learn to ask themselves, Is it worth the risk? Is the company a good buy? and have I done enough research? If you answer no to any of those questions then you need to review your potential investment and look at other options. When evaluating your company you can also look for patterns in a company's historical prices chart or graph. If you find a cycle that occurs more than twice, then it is likely that the cycle is continuous and you should watch for particular parts of that cycle to occur. For example, say a company's stock is always about twenty dollars in February but by September of that year is has reached thirty-five dollars, and then slowly drops back to twenty dollars the following February. Perhaps you should consider buying the stock in February with the intention of holding the stock until September.

One final thing about investing that young investors need to learn is that you don't make money overnight. You must be patient and let your investments ride. You can not get too skeptical if your company experiences a bad

In evaluating the stock market, I have found that there is no specific good or bad time to invest. It is the right time to invest when the price of the company you wish to invest in is equal to or less than the price you are willing to pay. I have also found that if beginning investors follow Andy's guidelines for evaluating a stock, then they should be successful.

So what have you decided to do with that four hundred dollars that your grandma gave you? Are you going to go out and blow it on food and clothes? or are you going to invest it and turn that four hundred dollars into thousands of dollars that can help pay for your dream car?

Chpt5-SecE: How Do I Sell and Collect My Money? by palynp

While always seems to get the attention of the media, silver is a viable investment as well due to its use in industrial applications and its use in coins and jewelry. Silver has been a desired element for thousands of years as a result of its beauty and workability in make jewelry and other ornaments. As far as industrial use, silver is used in high end electrical components due to its electrical conductivity. With this wide range of uses, silver should continue to be a desired commodity in the future.

One way to invest in silver is stock investing. Buying stocks in companies that produce silver is done just like any other company or industry. The top two silver mining countries are Mexico and Peru. The United States, Canada, and Australia are also large producers of silver. Investors looking for silver producing stocks may want to stay with the last three due to the more stable economies and governments in these countries. Investors need to thoroughly research companies before investing in them as their possible stock price improvement is not tied only to the price of silver. Silver is often mined as a byproduct of copper and other precious metals, so a silver producing company might not even focus its energies of the production of silver.

Most people who are seeking to invest in silver are probably of thinking of buying silver coins and silver bars. The trick here is to find sellers who are actually selling at the spot price of silver (spot plus a reasonable fee). A general rule is that the more silver you are buying the less percentage of fees you should be expected to pay. When buying coins to invest in their silver content be certain you are not buying coins for their numismatic value (the value to a collector of rare coins). Most common mintages of coins that were circulated in the past (pre 1964 dimes, quarters, halves, etc) can be bought close to their spot value, but again if you are only buying a few you will be charged a higher percentage fee. Sites such as eBay can be used to buy small lots of silver coins near spot value, or if you are lucky, even below spot value.

Remember, when buying silver or anything else for an investment look for drawbacks in price and buy low. Have patience when looking for bullion coins and get a good deal and don't just take any deal that you find. Be a long term investor and silver should pay off for you in the long run.

If you write articles, own a blog or a website, or even a newsletter you'll probably find yourself eventually looking for free stock images, visuals or photos. Some blog owners and writers use images that are copyrighted, which can get you in trouble and even, in extreme cases, cause a lawsuit to be filed against you - which you obviously don't want to happen. So if you do need free stock images, visuals or photographs for your online work, where should you go online to get them? Try these sources for free stock images, visuals and photographs and your articles, blog, website or newsletter will look even better.

FreeStockPhotos.com - You can use photos from this website for free for both personal and commercial use. You just have to make sure you list the photographer's name, and put the name of the website, FreeStockPhotos.com near the photograph you've used. And, of course, you can't sell the photograph to somebody else. Their categories of pictures are a bit limited but they have a good selection of photos and stock images in categories such as Animals, Christian, Egypt, Israel, Near East, Plants, Rome, Scenery and Sky.

Wikimedia Commons - At Wikimedia Commons, you can get free images and pictures, sound files and even some multimedia files for free use. All of the content is either in the public domain or released under a GNU Free Documentation License, and they have millions of images available in hundreds of thousands of categories. I've used photographs of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, cities in England, flowers, cups of coffee, garden gnomes, flags, food and a lot more subjects. I particularly like the photos that are taken by government employees as they are all usually in the public domain, and are of subjects you may not have access to otherwise. All you have to do is make sure you put the name of the photographer, videographer or picture creator near the file you choose to use, and mention what license it's been released under.

SXC - SXC has over 393,000 photographs available for use. They also have a great selection of tutorials on things like Coloring a Drawing, Getting Flawless Skin on Photos, How to Colorize a Black and White Image, and Making Reflections. They also have photos and images in a few hundred categories from continents to cities, animals to architecture, medical to computers. They have standard restrictions, which you can read at the bottom of every photo or image available, as well as photos from photographers who want more restrictions to be applied to their photos. Overall, I think the quality of photos is better on Wikimedia Commons, but SXC does have some unusual photos, so check both sources before you decide.

FreePhotos.com - You can use any of the more than 1,600 photos available on FreePhotos.com as long as you credit the photographer and do a link back to the website. They have photos in categories such as Asia, Fast Food, Motorcycles, Cameras, Musical Instruments, Animals, Sports and even Artistic and Texture. You do have to sign up for a membership to be able to download or upload, but it's a free membership.

PhotoRogue.com - PhotoRogue is really cool because, if you want a photograph but can't find it, you can make a request and a photographer might just go out and get it for you. You can be quite specific too. There are currently 94 albums with almost 700 photographs requested by people. Some of the requests include photographs of the coffee shop in the Elliot Bay Book Co, because it was supposedly used for the coffee shop on Frasier, and comparisons between milk moustaches and Guinness moustaches.

These are just five of the many websites out there where you can get free stock photo images and visuals for use on blogs, articles, newsletters and more. Check out these sources and if, by any chance, you can't find what you're looking for, do a web search for free photos. There's lots of stuff out there. Just make sure you read the requirements for downloading and credit the photographer and website where necessary.

Don't Hire An Expensive Contractor! Use These Home Improvement Tips Instead!

Repairs by C-Towner

In my world of automotive repair I talk a lot about Automotive Technician Certification or ASE Certification.

Since I bought our shop I've been making a stir in our local area and some don't understand exactly how it can affect them. So I'm here to explain exactly that and hopefully you will be able to take this knowledge and pass it on to YOUR friends and family as well as protect yourself next time you have your vehicles repaired or serviced...NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE AT OR WHERE YOU GO.......

What I've been stressing is simply this....your hairdresser, doctor, dentist, groomer for your pets, etc....have to have a LICENSE/CERTIFICATION to do

their jobs. They have to pass a series of tests to cut your hair or see you, and they are held by strict standards set by the state, etc.

But, YOUR MECHANIC DOES NOT have to have a license to work on your vehicle - plain and simple - and THIS is what the Auto Repair Industry has hidden from the consumer FOR YEARS and they don't want you to know.

Everyone from the dealerships to independent shops have MANY within those shops that have NEVER been trained to do the job they are doing.

More often then not many have gained their experience working on their own vehicles or friends vehicles from their garages....but are now gaining MORE experience on YOUR vehicle. (Kind of "On The Job Training!")

How do repair shops and dealerships get away with this - it's fairly simple. I have driven all over the country and have seen many shops - (especially the ones that love to advertise the $13.00 oil changes) with ASE Certification in their windows.

While you are there they tell you ALL kinds of things THEY THINK are wrong with your car. MOST of those people aren't even trained TO KNOW what to look for, nonetheless tell you it needs fixing. How can they get

away with ASE advertising?

Here is How:

ASE has STRICT Testing you must take to be considered certified. But there is a glitch...they have a total of 8 different tests.

1.Engine Repair

2.Automatic Transmission/Trans Axel

3.Manual Drive train/Axel

4.Suspension & Steering

5.Brakes

6.Electrical/Electronic Systems

7.Heating & Air Conditioning

8.Engine Performance

All that one shop has to do is have ONE of his technicians pass ONE test to advertise as being ASE CERTIFIED! After that one test is passed ASE allows you to advertise assuming your being honest about what you can and cannot do as far as repairs are concerned!

Where is the danger? Well if that ONE tech could only pass ONE test - lets say for Brakes - the shop is advertising ASE and tells you that you need a new transmission - how would they know what they were talking about? They are only certified for brakes!

What happens is that most consumers see the ASE Certification in the windows of shops or on their yellow book advertising and think that everyone within the building is certified to work on your vehicle - that couldn't be further from the truth. (Also is the certification CURRENT?)

At one time when my husband was working at a local shop before we opened our business - he was the ONLY ONE within the shop that was certified!

Not the owner, manager, and NONE of the techs held a certificate. The techs had only gotten their experience from working on cars at their own houses! My husband ended up showing these goofballs on a daily basis how to fix the cars and do you think they cared or appreciated it? Heck no - they were still making their money off you with no thoughts as to what may or may not happen to you after you left.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say - well then I'll just sue them if something goes wrong with my repair or turn them into the BBB or Bureau of Automotive Repair - aka BAR.

First off - that's fine as long as your okay to do that after getting on the freeway at 75+mph and having your car fail. Second - most suits don't even get to a settlement because YOU signed Okaying the repair and they count on that.

AND the shop HAD the certificate hanging on the wall clearly showing you that only ONE of their techs were certified and that was for ONLY brakes and since there is no standard that they HAVE TO FOLLOW then it falls back into your lap.

The next thing I love to see that makes me laugh and feel bad for those that don't know is when I go into lets say the dealership or chain repair store. They LOVE to have all kinds of certificates hanging on the walls - but notice they aren't ASE...they say "store" trained - well that's nice. Most of those places don't just sell that ONE make and model of a vehicle - and how many times have you purchased an extended warranty? Or the chain store....they say that THEY trained them....okay and who knows what they are doing? (They Who?!)

Why am I so passionate about ASE - it is because those tests are across the board for EVERY make and model of a car. Now lets think about that for a minute. How many makes and models of cars are there out there?

THOUSANDS.

That's why MANY cannot PASS MOST of those tests -they are HARD. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE HARD! Brakes are one of the easiest because brakes can be pretty standard.....sometimes. But transmissions, engine repair - etc. ??? That my friend is a whole different story.

If you are in the chain store or dealership look for the ASE certificates and LOOK for what they are REALLY trained for - I think you'll be surprised.

(Did you know?.....Dealerships Techs ONLY get training when the Dealership is willing to pay additionally for training - SURPRISE!)

The other way they get away with it? How often do you know that the person actually working on your vehicle is trained? Do you get to meet him? Talk to him? Nope. You just assume that EVERYONE back there is trained and all is well. Can you ask for someone trained to be working on your vehicle - sure you can ask - but you don't really know for sure -because if everyone asked, nothing would get done!

Most times there isn't anyone that's actually qualified to do the job or they don't have enough people trained at all......

Another reason many don't care if they employ certified ASE mechanics is because they are EXPENSIVE. Testing is expensive for the technician if they have to pay for it themselves and they are expensive for the shops. A guy that's trained means having to pay MORE money to hire and keep him on staff.

To keep up with industry standards with machinery, training, etc is VERY COSTLY - I know. But YOU don't know if they have the latest equipment or not - or if they have trained people on staff AND no one is checking to make sure....it's always kind of been left up to YOU.

Unfortunately the ONLY time you find out these harsh facts is when something does go wrong and by that time it's too late. You're out either a vehicle or lots of money on a repair that NEVER fixed what you

brought it in for.

I don't know about you but I think that's PRETTY SCARY!

You can check out any time the ASE standards and see for yourself how many repair shops have gotten around a great organization to make it appear like they are apart of something great when they really aren't - not to the degree that YOU think they are.

Ask to see their certificates - make sure they are current and not expired.

To have a "Master Technician" in any shop is rare. What is a Master Technician? That is someone who not only took the tests listed but passed them ALL...not just one.

Again, ONE MASTER technician in ANY shop is rare not to mention ANYONE who has adequate training. How about the owner being trained - again most aren't but they are running the business ...... odd don't you think that THEY don't know about the very thing they say they specialize in?

So now you know and it is up to all of us to hold these unethical shops accountable.

Together - we can all put a stop to unethical repairs and shops out there that don't care about you or your SAFETY.

One more story before I let you go:

True story by the way......

An elderly woman on limited income went in to get a transmission flush at a local shop where we live. They took the pan down threw some metal shavings into it - went out into the waiting room and told her she needed a new transmission. She just now went from a $69.95 job to a $1700.00 job. They cleaned up the bottom of the pan - cleaned off the transmission - sprayed a little spray paint on it to make it look new - did the flush ONLY and a few days later gave her car back. Same old transmission - and made close to $1730.00 profit.

She had originally come in with the great little "coupons" you get in the fliers every week in the mail for a transmission flush special....aka (bait) and she

was taken advantage of hook, line and sinker.

This is why I do what I do now - I advertise that they don't have ASE Certificates - I advertise how they get away with it if they do and I tell anyone who will listen what I've seen and how to avoid the pain of being taken advantage of in the auto repair world.

Be safe out there!

Building Your Business Up With Internet Marketing

marketing by nardell

Internet marketing can dramatically benefit your business. There is no way past this. Especially when you are starting a small business, how you approach Internet marketing may be the single biggest factor in whether or not you succeed. Find your way to Internet marketing success with the ideas in the article below.

Make a plan for how you will market your webpage and the strategies you will use. A good way to advertise your page is to give something away, tell people about it in blogs, or put ads out at businesses. You can encourage visitors to your site in many different ways. Just be creative, and work hard.

buy propecia Stay abreast of what your competition is doing. If you don't realize what your competition is doing, you can easily fall behind in the market. Check out their websites and their products and see what tactics they're using. You can also get a good estimate of how many visitors they have, which allows you to gauge how your site is doing.

Do you offer a reward system for people who regularly buy your products? Customer retention is particularly important in online businesses, and the way you reward customer loyalty will contribute greatly to your reputation. Also, the more generous you are with customers, the more customers will speak highly of your business to their friends.

Consider that the appearance of your business website is as vital to your business as a brick and mortar store's appearance is. Testing your links, images, ads and checkout process for errors can avoid upsetting visitors. Customers will not visit a business if it is not a well run establishment, the same goes for online sites.

Pazoo, Inc. (PZOO) - How To Retire Rich From Investing In Penny Stocks? - Penny Stocks To Buy 2012

It may well sound a little outrageous, on the other hand with the newly uncovered popularity of penny stock investing; some typical people have been able to pocket serious income on just one or two trades - acquiring stocks for pennies and selling them for real dollars.

Seems like a piece of fiction or the inner workings of a fantasy stock trading game, but don't think for a instant that it's not occurring virtually daily. There have been tons of corporations whose stock price had dropped to literally pennies per share and in some cases fractions of a penny per share, which happen to have made very sharp and explosive rises to levels that are 2, 3 or (seriously) 10 or 20 times that price - literally in days.

Don't believe me? For confirmation, Take a brief second to research a few of these stocks your self, for instance Sunpeaks Ventures, Inc.. (SNPK). Try typing the ticker symbol into virtually any financial site, and look at a historic chart for say four months or so; you'll notice right off that this company's stock was merely $.43 or 43 cents a share around mid March, and reached as high as .40 just weeks later. It wouldn't take a lot of mathematics to discover that just 0 could have changed into just about 00 in just a matter of weeks. For this very factor people are generally able to leave their day jobs to trade 1 or 2 penny stocks a month, at the same time having the capacity to pay all their bills and live in a relaxed manner.

With just a little research and a little bit of keeping your ear to the ground, you can realize decent gains in penny stocks; and it doesn't take the long-term investing that you ordinarily have to be prepared for when you invest in your typical blue chip stocks. The big stock investors can get a %5 rise in a week's time ( This is a excellent week for them), but if you've only got 0 to invest - making in a week is probably not cause to jump up and down... best you can do with that kind of gain is go to a movie... by yourself!

Like with any investment, even penny stock investing has risks, but think of this: when you can invest $500 in a penny stock and likely turn that small investment into thousands within weeks (and I don't mean 52 weeks) - the risk/reward ratio weighs hugely in your benefit. On the contrary, you could invest in nice "safe" blue chip companies and possibly see a gain of a couple hundred bucks a year.. that's if you don't invest in top of the line blue chips like Tyco, Enron or Adelphia...lol.

Right now, we're paying close attention to Pazoo, Inc. (PZOO). This stock has gone from being pretty much dormant to trading over a million shares last Thursday. The price was pretty consistent all day Thursday, even with the heavy trading (staying at $.10 per share), but then on Friday -things started to change ( the stock closed at $.135 - a 35% gain in One day). As of this publishing, the stock is continuing to climb today (7/23/12) climbing to just under $.15 per share. What to take serious notice of with this company is it's fundamentals; a good team, good product mix and revenue!
